On January 29, 2016, the Soulsville Foundation and Vince Carter and the Memphis Grizzlies host Staxtacular 2016 Presented by SunTrust at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music. Staxtacular is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Soulsville Foundation's vital youth programs.
The event will be held from 7 p.m. until midnight. Tickets are $175 per person and may be purchased at the Stax Museum (926 E. McLemore Ave), the Grizzlies Den Team Store inside the Grand Lobby of FedExForum, online at www.staxtacular.com, or by calling 901-261-6338.
Now in its 11th year, Staxtacular has raised nearly $1 million since its inception. In addition to being a fundraiser, Staxtacular has also become one of Memphis' hottest parties with a purpose. This year, event guests will:
- Meet Vince and his Grizzlies teammates
- Dance to live music by Garry Goin Band, Marcella and Her Lovers, and the Stax Music Academy
- Experience a Kendra Scott jewelry pull
- Mobile bid in our silent auction
- Indulge in the many open bars and global cuisine
- Relax at the coffee & espresso bar
- Enjoy complimentary valet parking for all event guests
Also, this year, for the first time, the Soulsville Foundation is partnering with local hotspot, the Rec Room, located in the booming Broad Avenue area, creating the "Rec Room South" in the Stax Music Academy building (adjacent to the Stax Museum) during the event.
