Rules and Description to the Year End Auction presented by SBR
Year end is always the time the rescue reaches out to supporters to ask for support to help fund the mission at Saddlebred Rescue to make sure we can operate in to the new year. We were successful with the Auction at Louisville this past August on the new auction platform so we thought it would be fun to do a year end re-gifting auction as part of the year end fundraising program. Here is how it will work.
Any item you have at home that you would re-gift you could support the horses at the rescue by placing it to this on-line auction. It does not have to be a re-gifting item. You can donate anything! Any business that donates to the auction we will post an online ad for the business donor. All you have to do is take a picture and post it by clicking on the "Donate An Item Now" button above in the middle of this Home Page and follow the instructions. Make sure you include in the description the size of the item and any other special features. Do not forget to include a fair market value. Our administrator will review your donation and post it "live" to the auction. They may contact you to ask questions about the description of the item or seek more pictures of the item. All items on the auction will have a "BUY IT NOW" price in case someone wants it for the holidays otherwise the auction ends at midnight on 1/1/2018.
Our request to the donor of an item is that they handle the shipment of the item to the buyer. We will help you in this process where we can and we will notify you of the buyer. Your shipping costs will be reimbursed so please keep track of those costs to email us. Likewise purchasers will be charged the shipping costs at purchase of the item when the item is shipped. Please share the link to this auction website with your friends and family and see the share icons to the right.
You can also choose to make a donation at any time to the rescue on this website. Donations of $250 and $500 or above will receive a special gift from the horses at the rescue that has been graciously provided by a supporter of SBR. That also goes for the auction donated items that have a fair market value at $250 or $500 or above.
